Scent of a Woman

The trailer for the 1992 ‘Scent of a Woman’ (dir. Martin Brest). I LOVE this movie! So beautiful. Al Pacino is brilliant, along with Chris O’Donnell, in this moving story about a student who takes a job over the thanksgiving weekend to be an aide to a retired blind military officer. Both get more out of the weekend than originally planned or thought; a friend, a future, wisdom, and an adventure. I love how both of the characters are developed throughout the film, and how you grow to love them, especially Al Pacino’s character – he is so incredibly defeated, angry, and sometimes even a little rude, but you love him nevertheless! This film just encapsulates the idea of friendship, loyalty, and second chances so well that you are moved to tears by the end. Incredibly moving and a beautifully told story!
